We are delighted to welcome families seeking Baptism for their child at St. Joan of Arc Parish. To begin, please contact the parish office to schedule a date and receive the necessary forms. Families should be registered and active parishioners (or provide permission from their home parish), choose one or two qualified godparents (practicing Catholics age 16 or older who have received the Sacraments of Initiation), and attend a baptism preparation session. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a beautiful opportunity to experience God’s mercy, forgiveness, and healing. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, we invite all Catholics to regularly receive this sacrament as a way to grow in faith and be restored in grace. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith, where we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and are united more deeply with Him and one another. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, we gather to celebrate the Mass and share in this sacred meal, which nourishes us spiritually and strengthens us to live as disciples of Christ. Catholics who have received First Holy Communion and are properly prepared are invited to receive the Eucharist. All are welcome to join us at Mass and participate in the life of our parish community.
The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism and strengthens us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, youth typically prepare for Confirmation through a period of formation, prayer, and participation in parish life. Candidates, along with their families, are encouraged to be actively involved in the faith community and attend preparation sessions as scheduled. To learn more about Confirmation preparation or to register, please contact the parish office.
The Sacrament of Marriage is a sacred covenant in which a man and a woman are united in Christ to live a lifelong partnership of love and faith. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, couples seeking marriage are asked to contact the parish office at least six months in advance to begin the preparation process. This includes completing required paperwork, meeting with the priest, and participating in marriage preparation. Couples should be active members of the parish or obtain permission from their home parish. We look forward to accompanying you as you prepare for this joyful vocation and lifelong commitment.
The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the means by which men are ordained to serve the Church as deacons, priests, and bishops, dedicating their lives to preaching the Gospel and shepherding God’s people. If you feel called to explore a vocation to the priesthood or diaconate, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and speak with your pastor. You can also learn more about discernment and formation through the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dodge City Vocations Office.
he Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick offers God’s healing grace, strength, and peace to those who are seriously ill, preparing for surgery, or experiencing the effects of aging. If you or a loved one would like to receive the Anointing of the Sick, please contact the parish office to arrange a time with the priest. This sacrament can be received whenever there is a serious need and may be repeated as conditions change.
Eucharistic Adoration is a time of quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, where we encounter Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. It is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, spend time in silence, and deepen your relationship with Christ. Benediction is a beautiful closing prayer service in which the priest blesses the faithful with the Eucharist. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, all are welcome to come and spend time with the Lord, whether for a few minutes or longer. Please see the parish schedule or contact the parish office for Adoration and Benediction times.
A Quinceañera is a beautiful cultural and spiritual celebration that marks a young woman’s fifteenth birthday and her growing commitment to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Families wishing to celebrate a Quinceañera are asked to contact the parish office in advance to begin preparation, which may include participation in the sacraments, attending Mass regularly, and meeting with the priest.
